We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Director of Business Systems and Solutions to lead our digital transformation initiatives, with a primary focus on the implementation, optimization, and support of ERP system. This role is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end lifecycle of all business systems and IT solutions across the organization, aligning technology with business goals, and driving operational efficiency. A strong focus will be placed on contract negotiation and vendor management, ensuring the best value and service agreements are in place.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the implementation of Microsoft Dynamic Business Central (ERP) across all departments, ensuring seamless integration and optimization of workflows. Collaborate with business leaders to define ERP strategy, requirements, and scope, providing technical leadership throughout the project lifecycle
  • Oversee the design, configuration, and customization of the ERP system to meet the organization's needs
  • Develop post-implementation strategies for continuous system improvements, user training, and support
  • Manage system integrations with other enterprise applications (CRM, HRIS, Financial Systems, etc.) to ensure smooth operations across all platforms
  • Lead contract negotiations with ERP and IT solution vendors, ensuring favorable terms, service level agreements (SLAs), and cost-effectiveness for the organization
  • Negotiate with third-party consultants, service providers, and software vendors, managing all legal, financial, and operational terms to mitigate risk and ensure compliance
  • Oversee the contract lifecycle, ensuring all contracts are in alignment with the company's needs and deliverables. Regularly review and renegotiate contracts and service agreements to optimize performance, pricing, and support services
  • Develop frameworks for evaluating vendor performance, managing disputes, and resolving issues that arise in vendor relationships
  • Oversee the planning, deployment, and optimization of enterprise-wide business systems and IT solutions
  • Evaluate and recommend new IT systems and technologies to meet the evolving needs of the organization
  • Establish governance, policies, and best practices for managing business systems, data security, and compliance with relevant regulations
  • Ensure the effective deployment and support of IT infrastructure to provide business continuity and reliability
  • Provide leadership and guidance to cross-functional teams, ensuring the successful execution of business systems projects on time and within budget
  • Drive change management initiatives to support the successful adoption of new systems, processes, and technologies across the organization
  • Provide mentorship and professional development opportunities for IT team members to foster growth and innovation

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree or MBA preferred
  • 10+ years of experience in IT systems management, with at least 5 years in a leadership or director-level role
  • Proven track record in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (or similar ERP) implementations and customizations
  • Expertise in contract negotiation, vendor management, and service-level agreement (SLA) management
  • Strong understanding of ERP systems, business process management, and enterprise IT solutions
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in managing complex IT projects, from initiation through post-implementation support
  • Ability to navigate and resolve challenges in vendor relationships and contract management
  • Experience working in industries such as manufacturing, retail, distribution, or services
  • Professional certifications (e.g., PMP, ITIL, Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365)
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Power Platform (Power BI, Power Automate) and Azure ecosystem
  • Experience in the HVAC industry is a plus
  • Able to lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation
