Our fast-growing and well-established company is seeking a full-time on-site role for a Senior Staff Accountant located in Tampa, FL. As a Senior Staff Accountant, you will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and providing essential support for our financial operations. The ideal candidate has a solid understanding of accounting principles, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic work environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including journal entries, reconciliations, and ledgers
• Conduct pre-audit tasks for parent company and subsidiary companies in preparing consolidated financial statements
• Key liaison between headquarters Accounting team and all oversea subsidiary divisions
• Oversee and manage oversea subsidiary divisions' payroll
• Ensure employee activity is in accordance with Mexico Labor Laws
• Familiar with international accounting & tax practice
• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Initiate and review Mexico Invoice Submissions in accordance with applicable transactions
• Manage the company's general ledger, ensuring compliance with GAAP and other relevant accounting standards
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies
• Prepare and assist in the analysis of financial reports, including budget variance analysis
• Support the preparation of tax returns and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
• Assist with audits, both internal and external, and provide necessary documentation
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to increase efficiency
• Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support strategic decision-making

Requirements

• Bilingual Required - English & Spanish
• Must be proficient with Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, and Outlook) and other accounting software such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar platforms
• 3-5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a similar role
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines
• CPA or working towards CPA certification is a plus but not required
• ERP Implementation experience preferred
